Happy Sunday~
Theres something so beautiful about the bright sunshine shining through the windows. I especially love it when it happens in my living room. For most of the day, it is quite dark in there ( I don't like that at all) so when the afternoon comes, I know my space will look pretty again.
The sun comes through the front window. The windows on my South facing windows have trees in front of them so there is no chance for too much light to come through.
This is one of my new mirrors that I got for the living room. It is hard to tell in this picture, but it is beveled glass (LOVE). When I got it, it was black and gold so I painted it Benjamin Moore, Horizon Gray. Of course, I forgot to take a "before" picture:( Oops! The other new mirror I got you can see in the previous picture. It is the little cream one. I used to have two small cabinets that flanked my window. I am so happy with the mirrors.
As you all know by now, I can't resist pictures of flowers, especially roses. I have cut so......many roses in the past week it is unbelievable. I have bouquets everywhere in my home. (photos to come in a later post). Today I wanted to show you this rose. It is called the "Princess Diana Rose" and it has creamy middle with the slightest blush pink on the edges. It is so perfect for cutting too:))
Thank you all for taking the time to stop by my blog:) I love hearing from you.
Have a fantastic week.
xo~

Your room is just so lovely. Is it always this pristine and serene? My 3 kids would destroy it in a second! I love the mix of fabrics on your loveseat- oh so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour room is so pretty! I don't know about you but my kids don't hurt the white furniture and stuff anymore than adults too. I guess my kids mess up their rooms--not the livingroom. People always think it is impossible to have a pretty livingroom but I don't agree. Thanks so much for sharing these lovely photos of yours!
ReplyDeleteYour living room is sooo pretty, Cheryl, all dressed in white with wonderful blue accents. I'm loving that mirror behind the tulips! I think I need that. :-)

Hi Cheryl. I just found your blog the other day (via interest). Your home is gorgeous. I was curious if you knew the name of the paint color in your living room. I inherited my gram's blue onion collection and am looking for a nice backdrop color to make it shine. :) Thanks in advance and a happy day to you too.

Beautiful room, Cheryl! It looks very light and bright to me. Since we moved, I went lighter in our new place, which works out well since it is a condo, and we don't have windows on one side of it. I welcome whatever natural light I can get to that side!

I have just recently found you blog and I just love it all. What a beautiful home you have and such a way with decorating it. I so wish that I could use blue and white like you, but alas I have found that blue is just not for me, so I will enjoy yours.
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl, your home is so beautiful. There is a giant Oak tree right in front of my LR window, it blocks most of the sun. I know how you feel about the darkness. Your roses take my breath away. Thanks so much for your sweet visit.
ReplyDeleteYour living room is so beautiful, so restful and serene.
ReplyDeleteso pretty Cheryl! I just got my first rose bush for my bday :) It's the Sterling Rose (the super fragrant lavender ones!) can't wait to enjoy soon myself! :) I forgot about the Princess Diana rose- so pretty!!! I might have to search out that one - love her and the pretty blooms. Gorgeous. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteWhat color paint is that in your living room? Love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Katie~ I think it is something like "Vanilla Shake" by Dun Edwards. I dont remember well because that was over 11 years ago that we painted that room. Hope this is helpful! Have a great day!
