Happy Monday~~
We have started Spring Break here in my house and my goodness it came at the perfect time. As I mentioned in my last, kind of dreary post, things here had been a bit up and down. Well, I am happy to say that we seem to be on a good roll. The kids and I visited my parents down in Orange County yesterday. We went to see my mom who is working very hard to get her strength back in her knee so she can move ahead with her life. She was in good spirits and we were so happy to see her. She is amazing~~~~~ I am feeling MUCH better, all tests came back negative and it turns out that the EAR can really mess you up!!! Yikes!!! Glad to have figured that out . Got to see Lady Antebellum in concert last week with my college roomie. We had such fun and it didn't hurt to have really good seats and a driver to and fro:)) Thanks Chris!!!
A couple of years ago I put up this arbor and planted a mini rose vine on it. Well, after two years of NOTHING, this Spring it bloomed...Yippeee!!!!!
No, your not hallucinating, it is tilting a bit backwards....
These are the creamy white mini roses that are all over it:)
Here are a few new blooms around the garden.....
This one sits along the driveway and sometimes gets in the way of the cars. There was a "suggestion" to cut it down.. NO WAY... how sweet is this flower???
Love the purple veins going through this one
The fox gloves are getting bigger and bigger. The hummingbirds love these:)
I have Status ( I think this is the correct name) all around the yard. They are great as bouquet fillers and easy to grow.
Another great filler. Not sure of the name. I call the "purple puffs".
The first "official" cutting rose of the season is almost bloomed.. My very favorite Eden Rose!! Notice the lady bug crawling on it??? Hopefully eating away any unwelcome aphids:)
My daughter Avery and I planted 12 pots on Saturday morning. I think she may have a green thumb. She did a great job with no instruction from me. It is amazing the transformation the yard has when the pots are colorful. Such simple satisfaction. Here are a couple samples from our potting adventure:
Love using iron urns
I hope you all have a wonderful week and a very Happy Easter
Thanks for all the sweet comments and welcome to all my new followers. I truly appreciate each and every one of you.
Coming up next week some transformation reveals.............

I am so anxious to get going outside!!!! We barely have sun for 24 hours before the rain and storms roll back in. I am hoping to get some bulbs planted soon without needing a full wetsuit on! ;)

ReplyDeleteLook at all your beautiful flowers! I would love to have an arbor of roses like yours, but for some reason all my roses seem to be dying off. I love that foxglove too...it seems so old-fashioned and charming, don't you think?! Hope you had a nice Easter :)
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks so beautiful! I can't wait to get out in ours to plant some new flowers.
