A Day of Reflection and Fantastic Finds

This Sunday I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the Rose Bowl Flea Market with a good friend. It was such a beautiful morning. The air was crisp (the perfect temp for the flea market) and there was a calm feeling all around. Such a contrast from that unforgettable morning 10 years prior. Although September 11, 2001 never left my mind that day, I felt at peace and thankful for all the heroes that have made it possible for all of us to actually feel peace again. We are blessed to live in this country:)

And, on top of that, the day started with an act of kindness. A lovely woman came up to my friend and I and handed us (2) free passes to enter that morning. $15.00 savings for each of us. So of course, that meant we had $15.00 more to spend:), and heres what I found.........................

This crock is huge! I LOVE it!!! I was told the cream bottle is an old ginger bottle. I was really having a cream kind of day!
This grain sack is so pretty . I love the red and white tie on it. I think I am going to open it up and use it for my table runner in my dining room...pictures to follow.
And it didn't end there, I have been looking for ONE more bistro chair to go in my dining room. Guess what?? I found one.............................It is chippy white and green (which was not ideal for me, but I love it and can paint it if I want). It was the Only one I saw that day...lucky me!

The roses and lavender are from my garden. The big cream and pink rose is called a Moonstone.

I hope you all have a great day and thanks for visiting. Come back again soon.

  2. This is my favorite so far of your posts. What a nice thing to have happen on Sunday. I love the chair!!! But I can't stop looking at the crock. I have wanted one of those for a while. Sounds like you had a nice day to quietly walk the market and give thanks for all that we are blessed with. Thank you for featuring my blog. xox

  3. Great finds! I've been wanting one of those big white crocks for awhile and can't find one. Wish we had a regular flea here in Houston but nothing similar at all.
