Good Morning~~
I hope you are all enjoying the holidays! We had a such a fun Christmas. We started the celebrating down at my mom's house last Friday and finished with the last celebration at our house Tuesday night. We are so lucky to have a lot of family so the fun goes on and on and on. Yesterday, I could barely keep my eyes open. I think the fun times are starting to catch up with me. But, it is all worth it. I love all the laughter, the loud noise(kids running around screaming) and the continuous smiles on everyones faces.
The Tuesday night dinner party was held at our house. We had 13 of my husband's family members here . BTW~ That is only half of the family. Here are some pics of the dining table. Unfortunately, our dining room is not the biggest so the kids sat in the kitchen. Maybe that is best:)))
Getting the table ready. I have my white tablecloth on the table with a blue stripe grain sack as the runner.
Love these milky blue glasses. These were used as the water glasses. I have them in clear and pink too.
The table was scattered with vintage Christmas ornaments. I can't get enough of these.
I used some of our vintage saucers to sit candles on. This one came from my daughter's room. She is in the process of redoing her room she was happy to give it up. No more saucers on the wall for her;((
I actually found some roses in the garden to use in these adorable hob nail vases. Much to my surprise, I have many roses that are ready to bloom outside. I guess it helps when it is 80 degrees in December.
Its time for dinner... the chandelier goes on......the candles get lit.....
And then my camera went crazy... not sure what setting I had it on, but this is how the pics came out. Not what I hoped for, but I kind of like it.
They are blurry, but I think it looks kind of romantic.
And then the camera setting changed. Mmmm.. well I am learning and the most important thing is that we had a great time and the food was yummy too.
This picture is a favorite from the night. This is the grandkids with their great grandma (Little Nonnie). Doesn't she look fabulous??????? She is 97. Yes, my daughter is the one on the tank top dress. Not exactly December clothing:))
I hope you all have a wonderful New Year!!! I am really looking forward to 2012.
Welcome to everyone who recently joined my blog. I love reading all the comments. You all make my day!!
Happy New Year!!
